Access It! Universal.NET version 8 introduced a new simplified system for licensing the software and optional features. In order to create a new license a System ID provided by Access It! is required. System ID's are issued by the Access It! Customer Service group upon processing a new software order. Prior to creating a license, Access It! Universal.NET must be installed on the server machine and the service started
- Log into Access It! Universal.NET
Upon initial login, the default Admin and no password can be used.
After initial login, the password must be changed. - Within Access It! Universal.NET select File | Licensing
- For a new license, enter the System ID provided by the Access It! Customer Service group
- Click Auto-Update License
The System ID is automatically sent to the RS2 licensing servers and a full license file is returned. Upon completion the message "License updated. The service must be restarted for the new license to take effect." is raised. - Click OK
- Close Access It! Universal.NET
- Restart the Access It! Universal.NET service
- Log into Access It! Universal.NET
- Verify license details are correct within the System Status screen
- Log into Access It! Universal.NET

- Click Export LOC file and place LOC file on a machine with internet access
- Manually upload the LOC file via the Access It! Manual License Update Page
- Upon processing file a new LIC file is downloaded
- Place downloaded file onto Access It! Universal.NET server
- Within Access It! Universal.NET select File | Licensing
- Click import LIC file
- Navigate to the LIC file
- Click OK
- Upon completion the message "License updated. The service must be restarted for the new license to take effect." is raised
- Click OK
- Close Access It! Universal.NET
- Restart the Access It! Unisersal.NET service
- Log into Access It! Universal.NET
- Verify license details are correct within the System Status screen
Once successfully licensed, the license key is bound to a combined variable consisting of the CPU processor ID, motherboard serial number, and the hard drive serial number for the c:\ drive. Should any of the variables change, a new license request must be made.
