This article outlines the steps to configure Traka cabinets within Access It! Universal.NET. Prior to configuring the Traka integration, all Traka cabinets and iFobs should be pre-created within Traka Web.
Access It! Universal.NET Licensing
The following licensing option must be enabled within the Access It! Universal.NET dongle and is a per lock count license.
- Traka Cabinet Count - 1/x
- Traka Integration
This will report Yes after the Traka Tab is configured.
The following components are required to complete the integration.
- Access It!® Universal.NET min s/w v8
- Traka Web Server
- Traka Monitor
- Within Access It!® Universal.NET, navigate to the System menu
- Select Servers
- Edit the Access It!® Universal.NET server
- Select the Traka tab
- Enter the Traka Web server name
IP Address is not supported - Enter the Traka Web port (default TCP 10700)
- If applicable, check the "Use SSL:" checkbox
- Enter a valid username for Traka Web
- Enter a valid password for Traka Web
- If the integration should periodically be synchronizing from Access It! Universal.NET to Traka, check the Recurring RS2 to Traka sync enabled
- If automatically synchronizing, set the delay in between synchronizations
- Select Sync RS2 to Traka on startup to perform a one way synchronization from Access It! Universal.NET to Traka when the service starts
- Select Enable sync of PIN numbers if PIN data should be synchronized between systems
- Select the PIN length used by Traka
- Select the rule to perform in the case a record is found in the Traka system that does not exist within Access It! Universal.NET
- If the integration should periodically be synchronizing from Traka to Access It! Universal.NET, check the Recurring RS2 to Traka sync enabled
- If automatically synchronizing, set the delay in between synchronizations
- Select Sync Traka to RS2 on startup to perform a one way synchronization from Traka to Access It! Universal.NET when the service starts
- Enter the Traka Event poll delay to set how often Access It! Universal.NET polls for new events within the Traka system
- Select the RS2 to Traka field mappings to set mappings of fields between the systems
- Click the Sync Cardholders to Traka immediately to perform an immediate one way synchronization
- Click the Sync Traka iFobs to RS2 immediately to perform an immediate one way synchronization
- Click Save
- Within Access It! Universal.NET, navigate to the Configuration menu
- Select Access Levels
- Create a new Access Level, or edit an existing Access Level
- Select the Traka tab
- Check the Traka enabled checkbox
- Click Save
The Access Level will be added as a Traka Item Access Group upon the next synchronization from RS2 to Traka.
- Within Traka Web, navigate to Items on the lower menu
- Select Item Access Groups
- Edit the Item Access Group(s) that corelates to the Access It! Universal.NET Access Level(s)
- Select the Item Access tab
- In the Access column, check the appropriate checkboxes to enable access to the allowed locations
- Click the diskette icon in the upper left to save
- Within Access It! Universal.NET, navigate to the Hardware menu
- Select Traka Cabinets
- Select New from the toolbar
The Traka system is polled and all available cabinets will be listed - Select a Traka cabinet
- Click OK
- Configure Events reporting tab as needed
- Click Save
All fobs preprogramed within Traka Web will automatically be added - If needed, configure event reporting for each fob by selecting Edit from the toolbar
- In order to use the RS2 FC 3 33 bit format with a reader connected to the Traka cabinet, a custom configuration file must be obtained from Traka. Configuration files can be uploaded through a USB drive attached to the unit.
