Adding a Card Format Within Access It! Universal.NET

Overview

Card formats are used to specify the type of readers and cards being used in a system. The card format contains the number coded instructions that inform the SCP panel of the card format being used. Access It! Universal.NET v7 supports up to sixteen card formats per SCP. Access It! Universal.NET v6 and prior support up to eight card formats per SCP.

Adding A Card Format in Access It! Universal.NET v7/8

  1. Navigate to the Hardware menu by clicking the hardware section
  2. Select the word SCPs
    This will populate a list of the SCPs to the right.
  3. Select the SCP that will have the new Card Format
  4. Click the Edit button from the icon tool bar
    The Edit SCP form appears.
  5. Select the Card Formats tab
  6. Click the Assign Card Format to SCP... button towards the bottom of the Card Formats tab
  7. Use the drop down menu to select the appropriate Card Format
  8. Type in the Facility Code number in the Facility Code field
  9. Click OK
  10. Click Save
    NOTE: The SCP may perform a reset after saving these changes.

Adding A Card Format in Access It! Universal.NET v5/v6

  1. Navigate to the Hardware menu by clicking the hardware section
  2. Select the word SCPs
    This will populate a list of the SCPs to the right.
  3. Select the SCP that will have the new Card Format
  4. Click the Edit button from the icon tool bar
    The Edit SCP form appears.
  5. Select the Card Formats tab
  6. In the first available format field use the drop down menu to select the Card Format accordingly
  7. Type in the Facility Code number in the respective Facility Code field
  8. Click Save
    NOTE: The SCP may perform a reset after saving these changes.
