Emailing Reports Through Access It! Universal.NET


Overview

Using the notification feature, Access It! Universal.NET allows for manual or scheduled execution of reports to be emailed to a recipient(s). The email recipient must already be configured as outlined in the Access It! Universal.NET Notification Setup.

Access It! Universal.NET Licensing
The following licensing option must be enabled within the Access It! Universal.NET dongle and is a system wide license.

Report Setup
Reports Screen

  1. Launch Access It! Universal.NET
  2. From the Navigation menu, navigate to Configuration | Reports
  3. Select and run the report to be emailed by Access It! Universal.NET
  4. When running the report enter all search criteria to be used by the emailed report
  5. At the final step of running the report select the option Save Report to save the report with the specified search criteria
    A fixed date range cannot be used. Used canned selections (i.e. Last Week).
  6. Assign a friendly name for the saved report
  7. Close the report wizard

Device Specific Screen

  1. Launch Access It! Universal.NET
  2. Navigate to the appropriate device the report will be based on
  3. Click the Reports icon from the ribbon menu to open a reports window
  4. Select the report to be emailed by Access It! Universal.NET
  5. Use the print range to enter search criteria for the report
    A fixed date range cannot be used. Used canned selections (i.e. Last Week).
  6. Click the Save... button to save the report with the specified search criteria
  7. Assign a friendly name for the saved report
  8. Close the report dialog window

Macro Setup

  1. Launch Access It! Universal.NET
  2. From the File Menu, select Go | Main | Macros
  3. Select New from the toolbar
  4. Enter a name of the Macro in the Macro Name field
  5. Select the Steps tab
  6. Select Add Step
  7. Drop down the Action Type list and select Email Report
  8. Select the recipient that will be receiving the emailed report
  9. Select the previously saved report
  10. Select the file format for the emailed report
  11. Click OK
  12. Repeat steps 6-10 for each additional recipient that will be automatically notified
  13. Select the Schedule tab
  14. Configure schedule asettigns as needed
  15. Click Save
