One-Time Event


Overview

A One-Time Event is a Timezone within the Mercury-Security controller configured to start and stop on a single day. This feature can be used to create special event schedules.

Prerequisites

  • Access It! Universal min s/w v4.0.25
  • EP Series Controller min f/w 1.173

Creating One Time Event

  1. Within Access It! Universal.NET, navigate to the Configuration menu
  2. Select Timezones
  3. Select New from the toolbar to create a new timezone
  4. Assign a friendly name for the one time event
  5. Within the Timezone mode drop list, select One-Time Event
  6. Select the day the One-Time Event schedule will activate
  7. Select a Start time(s) for the One-Time Event as needed
  8. Select a Stop time(s) for the One-Time event as needed
  9. Click Save

Using Tasks With a One-Time Event Schedule

To access tasks within Access It! Universal.NET

  1. Navigate to the Hardware menu
  2. Expand SCPs
  3. Expand the SCP containing the reader(s)
  4. Select Tasks
  5. Edit the first available Unused Task

EXAMPLE 1: Unlock doors(s) when the One-Time Event schedule begins and re-lock when ended.

This method requires two tasks. First to unlock and second to return to card only (locked).

First Task

Task name: Unlock Doors Upon One-Time Event

Conditionally execute: when a timezone begins or ends

Timezone name: Newly Created One-Time Event timezone

Only during timezone: Always

Conditions: When timezone begins

Steps: Unlock Reader/Door - Select the Reader(s) to unlock

Second Task

Task name: Re-lock Doors Upon One-Time Event

Conditionally execute: when a timezone begins or ends

Timezone name: Newly Created One-Time Event timezone

Only during timezone: Always

Conditions: When timezone ends

Steps: Set Reader to Card Only - Select the Reader(s) to re-lock

EXAMPLE 2: Unlock a series of doors for only 3 hours when the One-Time Event schedule begins.

This method only requires one task since it is using the Temporary command.

First Task

Task name: Unlock Doors for 3 Hours Upon One-Time Event

Conditionally execute: when a timezone begins or ends

Timezone name: Newly Created One-Time Event timezone

Only during timezone: Always

Conditions: When timezone begins

Steps: Unlock Reader/Door Temporary - Select the Reader(s) to unlock - Set mode for 'x' minutes (1-16383) to 180
