User Group Enhancements


Overview

Beginning in Access It! Universal.NET 5.2 the following new User Group enhancements have been introduced:

  • Control if a login can be used within the web client
  • Lockout a user after a specified number of invalid attempts
  • Limit the number of people for a given User Group that can be logged in concurrently
  • Granular control of access to cardholder images
  • Granular control of access to cardholder signatures
  • Granular control of access to cardholder biometric templates
  • Granular control of assigning card access levels

Implementation
Control if a login can be used within the web client

  1. Navigate to the Configuration menu
  2. Select User Groups
  3. Create a new User Group, or edit an existing
  4. Select (check) the option Allow web client login
  5. Click Save

Lockout a user after a specified number of invalid attempts

  1. Navigate to the Configuration menu
  2. Select User Groups
  3. Create a new UserGroup, or edit an existing
  4. Adjust the Maximum unsuccessful login attempts before lockout as needed
    0 will never lock out a user.
  5. Click Save

Limit the number of people for a given User Group that can be logged in concurrently

  1. Navigate to the Configuration menu
  2. Select User Groups
  3. Create a new User Group, or edit an existing
  4. Adjust the Maximum concurrent logins needed
    0 will allow for an unlimited number of concurrent users to be logged in.
  5. Click Save

Granular control of access to cardholder images

  1. Navigate to the Configuration menu
  2. Select User Groups
  3. Create a new User Group, or edit an existing
  4. Select the Permissions tab
  5. Expand the Cardholder Fields node
  6. Select (Photo)
  7. Within the right hand pane, assign access accordingly
  8. Click Save

Granular control of access to cardholder images

  1. Navigate to the Configuration menu
  2. Select User Groups
  3. Create a new User Group, or edit an existing
  4. Select the Permissions tab
  5. Expand the Cardholder Fields node
  6. Select (Biometrics)
  7. Within the right hand pane, assign access accordingly
  8. Click Save

Granular control of access to cardholder signature

  1. Navigate to the Configuration menu
  2. Select User Groups
  3. Create a new User Group, or edit an existing
  4. Select the Permissions tab
  5. Expand the Cardholder Fields node
  6. Select (Signature)
  7. Within the right hand pane, assign access accordingly
  8. Click Save

Granular control of assigning card access levels

  1. Navigate to the Configuration menu
  2. Select User Groups
  3. Create a new User Group, or edit an existing
  4. Select the Permissions tab
  5. Expand the Card Fields node
  6. Select (Card Access Levels)
  7. Within the right hand pane, assign access accordingly
  8. Click Save
