Low Battery Notification



Schlage NDE

When this event occurs, the event 'Low Battery Activated' is raised within Access It! Universal.NET. If a user wishes to change how this event is presented in the software, or wishes to associate a Macro to this event, they should modify the event within the events tab in the Reader properties screen.

The point in which a Schlage NDE series lock report a low battery differs from model to model:

  • < 4.5 Low Battery
  • < 4.0 Critical Battery

Schlage AD400

The Low Battery event for an Allegion AD series lockset is treated as a Reader Supervisory Fault. When this event occurs, the event 'Reader Low Battery' is raised within Access It! Universal. If a user wishes to change how this event is presented in the software, or wishes to associate a Macro to this event, they should modify the 'Reader Supervisory Fault' event within the events tab in the Reader properties screen.

The point in which a Schalge AD series lock report a low battery differs from model to model:

  • Multi-Tech Reader (4 cell battery pack) reports low battery once at 4.7V
  • Magstripe Reader (4 cell battery pack) reports low battery once at 3.7V
  • Other AD series readers (8 cell battery pack) reports low battery once at 7.2V

Schlage AD series lockets will only report the low battery event one time once reaching the above values.

Aperio Locks

The Low Battery event for an Aperio lockset is treated as a Reader Supervisory Fault. When this event occurs, the event 'Reader Low Battery' is raised within Access It! Universal. If a user wishes to change how this event is presented in the software, or wishes to associate a Macro to this event, they should modify the 'Reader Supervisory Fault' event within the events tab in the Reader properties screen.

ASSA ABLOY WiFi Locks

The Low Battery event for an ASSA ABLOY WiFi lockset is raised when the batteries reach 5.6V. When this event occurs, the event 'Low Battery' is raised within Access It! Universal. When the batteries reach 5.2V, the ASSA ABLOY WiFi lock will report the event 'Battery Dead'. If a user wishes to change how these events are presented in the software, or wishes to associate a Macro to this event, they should modify the correlating events within the events tab in the IP Lockset properties screen. Locksets with firmware 1563 and earlier will report low battery just one time, while locksets with firmware later that 1563 will report the low battery event each time the motor is ran.
