Allegion PIM400-1501


Overview

This document outlines how to program and integrate an Allegion PIM400-1501 within Access It!® Universal. The PIM400-1501 supports up to 16 AD-400 locksets and uses a SCP license.

Access It! Universal Licensing
The following licensing option must be enabled within the Access It! Universal dongle and is a system wide option and per integrated reader count license.

  • SCP Count - 1/x
  • Integrated Reader Count - 1/x

Required Components

The following components are required to complete the integration.

  • Access It!® Universal min s/w v3
  • PIM400-1501 min f/w 1.148
    Refer to the PIM documentation on how to update the PIM400-1501 firmware.
  • HHD-Kit
    Windows CE device with Schlage Utility Software (SUS) pre-loaded, and USB cable included.
  • AD-400 Series lock paired to the PIM-400 with a unique address.
  • PoE Network Connection or Injector

Configuring The PIM400-1501 For A Static IP Address

Hardware Setup

  1. Remove the main cover of the PIM400-1501
  2. On the EP-1501 set S1 - Configuration DIP Switch DIP 2 ON
  3. On the EP-1501 set S1 - Configuration DIP Switch DIPs 1, 3 & 4 OFF
  4. Apply power to the EP-1501
  5. Manually configure a computer to 192.168.0.100
  6. Using a straight through cable, connect computer to same switch as PIM400-1501
  7. Open a web browser and go to 192.168.0.251
  8. On the EP-1501 set S1 - Configuration DIP Switch DIP 1 ON
  9. Click on Click Here to Login
  10. Click on Continue to this website (not recommended).
  11. Enter a Username of admin
  12. Enter a Password of password
  13. Click Network from the left hand menu
  14. Select Use Static IP configuration:
    • IP Address: <Set accordingly>
    • Subnet Mask: <Set accordingly>
    • Default Gateway: <Set accordingly>
  15. Click OK
  16. Click Apply Setting from the left hand menu
  17. Click Apply, Reboot button
  18. Wait 60 seconds for EP-1501 to reboot
  19. Remove power from the EP-1502
  20. Set all S1 - Configuration DIP Switch DIPs OFF
  21. Apply power to the PIM400-1501

Software Setup

  1. Run Access It! Universal
  2. Create a new Channel
    • Settings Tab
      • Channel Enabled: X
      • Protocol Type: SCP
      • Channel Type: IP Server
      • Create a new SCP
    • General Tab
      • Model: PIM 400-1501
      • Device Installed: X
      • SCP Time Zone: <Set accordingly>
      • Initialization String: <Leave blank>
      • Address: 0
    • Comm Tab
      • Channel: <Set to the newly created channel>
      • IP Address: <Set accordingly>
      • Port Number: 3001
      • Encryption Settings: None
  3. Click Save
  4. From the left hand tree, expand SCP’s
  5. Expand the PIM400-1501
  6. Select SIOs
    Do not expand.
  7. Select SIOs
  8. From the right hand pane, edit SIO address 0
  9. Select the Options tab
  10. Set Number of Readers accordingly
  11. Click Save

Configuring The PIM400-1501 For DHCP

Hardware Setup

  1. Apply power to the EP-1501
  2. Make note of the MAC address located on the side of the IP-1501 RJ45 jack

Software Setup

  1. Run Access It! Universal
  2. Create a new Channel
    • Settings Tab
      • Channel Enabled: X
      • Protocol Type: SCP
      • Channel Type: IP Server
  3. Create a new SCP
    • General Tab
      • Model: PIM 400-1501
      • Device Installed: X
      • SCP Time Zone: <Set accordingly>
      • Initialization String: <Leave blank>
      • Address: 0
    • Comm Tab
      • Channel: <Set to the newly created channel>
      • IP Address: <MACxxxxxxxxxxxx>
        If the MAC address of the EP-1501 was 00-0F-E5-00-03-4B then the IP Address field must be entered as the Host Name of MAC000FE500034B. If unable to resolve the Host Name to an IP Address, contact your local network administrator.
      • Port Number: 3001
      • Encryption Settings: None
  4. Click Save
  5. From the left hand tree, expand SCP’s
  6. Expand the PIM400-1501
  7. Select SIOs
    Do not expand.
  8. Select SIOs
  9. From the right hand pane, edit SIO address 0
  10. Select the Options tab
  11. Set Number of Readers accordingly
  12. Click Save
