Allegion AD 300 Series
Overview
This document outlines how to program and integrate an Allegion AD-300 series lock to Access It!® Universal.
Access It! Universal.NET Licensing
The following licensing option must be enabled within the Access It! Universal.NET dongle and is a per integrated reader count license.

Windows CE device with Schlage Utility Software (SUS) pre-loaded, and USB cable included.
- AD-300 Series lock
Hardware / Wiring References
For performance reasons, it is strongly recommended that no more than 8 AD-300 locksets be connected to a single RS-485 communication port.

Configuring a MUX-8 with the AD-300
While not required, users can make use of the MUX-8 multiplexer panel to allow wiring in a star topology. The only requirement is that the MUX-8 have dip switches 1, 2, and 4 OFF, and 3 ON.
Configuring The AD-300
- Connect the USB cable to the AD-300 and Handheld Device (HHD) running SUS
- On the HHD, launch SUS
- Login as Manager
Default password is 123456.
- Press the Schlage button twice
- If successfully connected, the AD-300 will be listed
- Select Device Options
- Select Lock Properties
- Select the Edit tab
- Select the RS-485 Address field
- Assign an address to the AD-300
All SIO devices wired to the EP-2500 need to be uniquely addressed between 0 and 31.
- Select Save
- Select OK
- Select Back
- Close SUS
- Disconnect the USB cable from the AD-300 and the HHD
- Wire the AD-300 to the EP-2500

Access It! Universal
- Install and configure the EP-2500 to communicate with Access It!® Universal.
- From the file menu, select Go | Main | Hardware
- Select SCP’s
- Edit the EP-2500
- Set Port speed to 9,600 for appropriate port

- Set Protocol to Schlage PIM for appropriate port

- Click Save
The EP 2500 board will reset.
- From the left hand tree, expand SCP’s
- Expand the EP-2500
- Select SIOs
Do not expand.
- From the right hand pane, edit the SIO that has the address of the AD-300

- Name the AD-300
- Set Model to Schlage PIM Gateway
- Check Device Installed
- Set Channel accordingly
The EP Channel that the PIM400-485s wired to.
- Select the Options tab
- Set Number of Readers to 1
- Click Save
