Configuring a Holiday for Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Overview

This article describes the steps needed to configure a Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday and configure a door's unlock schedule to remain inactive for this day.

Access It! Universal.NET

  1. Navigate to the Holidays section (Go | Configuration | Holidays)
  2. Select New from the toolbar
  3. Name the Holiday - Martin Luther King Jr. Day
  4. Set the Holiday Start Date to 1/20/2020
    Start time is 12:00 AM January 20th.
  5. Set the Holiday End Date to 1/20/2020
    End time is the last second before January 21st.
  6. Check a single Holiday Group
    Make note of which Holiday Group has been checked.
  7. Click Save
  8. Navigate to the Intervals section (Go | Configuration | Intervals)
  9. Edit the Interval(s) responsible for the door's unlock schedule
  10. If this Interval is to remain inactive on Martin Luther King Jr. Day  (Door remains locked) ensure the Holiday Group checkbox selected in step 6 is NOT checked. If this Interval is to remain active on New Years Day (door unlocks on schedule) ensure the Holiday Group checkbox select in step 6 IS checked.
  11. Navigate to the Timezones section (Go | Configuration | Timezones)
  12. Select the Timezone responsible for the door's unlock schedule
  13. The calendar display in the bottom pane represents the selected Timezones schedule. If the calendar is switched to the week of 1/20/2020, the timezone will display Red if it is to be inactive (Door Locked) or green if it is to be active (Door Unlocked).

Access It! Lite.NET

  1. Navigate to the Holidays section (Data Files | Holidays)
  2. Select New from the toolbar
  3. Name the Holiday Martin Luther King Jr. Day
  4. Set the Holiday Date to 1/20/2020
  5. Click OK
  6. Navigate to the Timezones section (Data Files| Timezones)
  7. Edit the Timezone responsible for the door's unlock schedule
  8. If this Timezone is to remain inactive on Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Door remains locked) ensure the H check box is NOT checked. If this Timezone is to remain active on New Years Day (door unlocks on schedule) ensure the H check box IS checked.
  9. Click OK

Access It! NExT STEP

  1. Navigate to the Holidays section (Data Files | Holidays)
  2. Select New Holiday from the toolbar
  3. Name the Holiday Martin Luther King Jr. Day
  4. Set the Holiday Date to 1/20/2020
  5. Click Save And Close
  6. Navigate to the Timezones section (Data Files| Timezones)
  7. Edit the Timezone responsible for the door's unlock schedule
  8. If this Timezone is to remain inactive on Christmas Day (Door remains locked) ensure the H check box is NOT checked. If this Timezone is to remain active on New Years Day (door unlocks on schedule) ensure the H check box IS checked.
