Aperio Unlock / Relock Schedule

Overview

The ASSA ABLOY Aperio Lockets communicating to an Aperio 1:8 Mercury Powered Hub do not support a traditional unlock schedule. Tasks are required within Access It! Universal in order to have the lockset unlock and re-lock at a specified time. Prior to following the below, the Aperio 1:8 Hub must be wired and configured as outlined in the Aperio 1:8 Hub article.

Software Setup

ASSA ABLOY Aperio Programming Application (PAP)

The Aperio Radio device and installation file must already be created, and an Aperio lockset must already be paired with the Aperio Hub. For assistance ininstalling the Aperio Radio or creating a new installation file, contact ASSA ABLOY at 800-810-WIRE

  1. Within the PAP select Settings | User Settings
  2. Select (check) the option Show advanced settings
  3. Click OK
  4. Right click on the Aperio 1:8 Hub and select Configure
  5. Within the RFID Configuration step, click Next
  6. Within the Configure RFID search order for V2 SE locks, click Next
  7. Within the Change Keypad configuration step, click Next
  8. Within the Escape and return configuration step, click Next
  9. Within the Override Credential step, click Next
  10. Within the Security Mode Settings step, click Next
  11. Within the Electronic Access Controller Settings step, click Next
  12. Within the Radio channels Settings, click Next
  13. Within the Status Report Interval section, click Change
  14. Set the Message Interval (minutes) accordingly
    The Message Interval is how often the lock polls the Hub to see if it should be unlocked or locked. The default is 60 minutes and lowering the time can decrease battery performance within the lock.
  15. Click OK
  16. Within the Sensor Events section, click Change
  17. Set the Disable sensor events for unlock durations greater than to 0 hours and 4 minutes
  18. Click OK
  19. Within the Advanced Lock/sensor Setting step, click Next
  20. Within the Device Update step, click Next
  21. Present a credential to the lock

Access It! Universal
The Mercury Powered 1:8 Aperio Hub and locksets must already be installed within Access It! Universal.

Configuring an Aperio Lockset Unlock Schedule

The following outlines the steps that are required to have the Aperio Lockset unlock when a 8:00am timezone begins and then lock itself at 5:00PM. A timezone that begins at 8:00am must already exist.

  1. Within Access It! Universal, navigate to the Hardware Tree
  2. Expand SCPs
  3. Expand the SCP the ASSA ABLOY 1:8 Aperio hub is installed under
  4. Select Tasks
  5. Edit the first available unused task
  6. Assign the Task a friendly name
  7. Within the Conditionally Execute list, select When a Timezone begins or Ends
  8. Within the Timezone Name list, select the Timezone that begins at 8:00am.
  9. Within the Only During Timezone list, select Always
  10. Select (check) the option When Timezone Begins
  11. Select the Steps tab
  12. Click Add Step
  13. Within the Description list, select Unlock Reader/Door Temporary
  14. Move the Aperio Lockset to the right hand pane
  15. Select Set mode until time and set the time to5:00pm
  16. Click OK
  17. Click Save

Locking an Aperio Lockset

The following outlines the steps that are required to have the Aperio Lockset re-lock when it is already in the middle of a configured unlock schedule and a panic input button is pressed.

  1. Within Access It! Universal, navigate to the Hardware Tree
  2. Expand SCPs
  3. Expand the SCP the ASSA ABLOY 1:8 Aperio hub is installed under
  4. Select Tasks
  5. Edit the first available unused task
  6. Assign the Task a friendly name
  7. Within the Conditionally Execute list, select When a Input changes state
  8. Within the Input Name list, select the panic button input
  9. Within the Only During Timezone list, select Always
  10. Select (check) the option When Input is Unsecure
  11. Select the Steps tab
  12. Click Add Step
  13. Within the Description list, select Unlock Reader/Door Temporary
  14. Move the Aperio Lockset to the right hand pane
  15. Select Cancel current temporary mode (return to normal)
  16. Click OK
  17. Click Save
