Privacy Extended Feature

Overview

The Privacy Extended Feature allows for the ability to lock a reader when a custom defined interior push button changes state. The reader will return to its default mode when the push button reverses state, or a Request to Exit (REX) occurs from the secure side of the opening. When using an Allegion AD series locksets or ASSA ABLOY Aperio lockset, the privacy button is built into the reader.

The Privacy functionality operates during the Always Timezone and does not respect Card Groups. If this feature is needed to operate during a limited schedule, or respect Card Groups, separate Tasks should be created.
