Access It! Universal allows for the ability to limit a user to only send specified commands to Readers, Inputs and Outputs. When using the Enterprise edition of Access It! Universal, permissions to view or execute specific commands can be set on a per device level. When using the Standard edition of Access It! Universal, permissions to view or execute specific commands is on the device type level.
Readers
- Within Access It! Universal 4.x or Access It! Universal.NET, navigate to User Groups (Configuration | User Groups)
- Edit an existing or create a new User Group
- Select the Permissions tab
- Expand the Site node (default is Main)
- Select the Readers node
- Within the right hand pane, select Execute Selected Commands
- Select (Check) the commands the User Group is allowed to perform
Inputs
- Within Access It! Universal 4.x or Access It! Universal.NET, navigate to User Groups (Configuration | User Groups)
- Edit an existing or create a new User Group
- Select the Permissions tab
- Expand the Site node (default is Main)
- Select the Inputs node
- Within the right hand pane, select Execute Selected Commands
- Select (Check) the commands the User Group is allowed to perform
Outputs
- Within Access It! Universal 4.x or Access It! Universal.NET, navigate to User Groups (Configuration | User Groups)
- Edit an existing or create a new User Group
- Select the Permissions tab
- Expand the Site node (default is Main)
- Select the Outputs node
- Within the right hand pane, select Execute Selected Commands
- Select (Check) the commands the User Group is allowed to perform
