The following article outlines the steps required to use 128 PIV-I cards with Access It!.
Requirements
Enrollment Reader
- Access It! Universal min s/w v4
- EP/LP controller with no card formats defined
- PIV-I reader
System Use
- Access It! Universal min s/w v4
- EP/LP controller with 128 Bit card format defined
- PIV-I reader
- PIV-I credentials
- Navigate to System | Sites
- Edit the Site using 128 Bit PIV-I cards
- Select Card Options
- Check Use Large Card Numbers
- Check Use Large Encoded Card ID
- Click Save
All SCPs on the site will go through a reset and cards will temporarily stop working. - Log off of Access It! Universal
- Log into Access It! Universal
Enrollment Reader
- Navigate to Main | Hardware
- Select installed Readers
- Edit the Enrollment reader
- Set Access Configuration to Enrollment
- Click Save
- Navigate to System | Workstations
- Edit the Enrollment Workstation
- Select the Enrollment Readers tab
- Check the PIV-I enrollment reader
- Select how the system should respond When a new card is presented at an enrollment reader
- Select how the system should respond When an existing card is presented at an enrollment reader
- Select How the enrollment will create the fictional card number
- Manual Card Number Entry
- A user will need to manually enter a fictional card number and assign facility code -1 to each card enrolled
- Automatic Card Number Entry
- The enrollment will automatically assign a card number starting off of the Starting Card Number and will increment each time a new PIV-I card is added. Facility code -1 is assigned
- Manual Card Number Entry
- Click Save
System Use
- Navigate to Main | Hardware
- Select SCPs
- Edit the EP controller
- Select the Card Formats tab
- Select Edit Card Formats
- Click New
- Name the card format 128 Bit PIV-I
- Set the card format as outline in the 128 Bit Wiegand PIV-I Card Format article
- Click OK
- Assign the 128 Bit PIV-I card format
- Assign a facility code of -1
- Select (Click) the Override Card Format Download (Advanced)
- Click Save
The SCP will reset and cards will temporarily stop working.
