When reading a card with a card number larger than 2,147,483,647 the system will incorrectly show the card number as 4,294,967,295 or 4,294,508,543.
Cause A
The Use Large Card Numbers option is not enabled and the card being presented is outside the allowable card number range. When the option is not enabled the largest card number allowed is 2,147,483,647. When the option is enabled the largest card number allowed is 9,223,372,036,854,775,807.
Resolution A
- Click System
- Click Site
- Select the Site where the issue is occurring
- Click Edit
- Select the Card Options tab
- Check the Use Large Card Numbers checkbox
- Click Save
- Follow on screen prompts
After the SCP reset completes, the issue will be corrected.
Cause B
A PIN has a leading 0 causing the pin to be out of range or the card number is out of the valid range.
Resolution B
Remove the leading 0 and replace it with a digit 1-9 or make sure the card number is in the valid range for the associated format.
Cause C
Entering a A PIN that does not have access to the reader.
Resolution C
Ensure that the card has access and that the correct card format is in the SCP.
