Object Reference Not Set To An Instance Of An Object


Symptom A

When logging into Access It! Lite.NET an error of "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" is raised.

Cause A

This is caused by a corrupted Events or Data database.

Resolution A

Download and run the Access It!® Lite.NET™ Database Compact & Repair Utility.

Symptom B

When running a Data Exchange Package using Active Directory, the error log generated shows records failing with the error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object".

Cause B

This is caused by users in Active Directory missing attributes being requested by the Data Exchange Package.

Resolution B

Adjust Active Directory so that requested attributes are present on all records being imported, or adjust the Data Exchange Package to omit mappings to attributes that do not exist for every user.
